House of Calm is a professional and independent business focusing on decluttering and organising to make tidying the everyday build up in your home easier. Using a bespoke routine designed for your lifestyle to make this quick and easy, when time is short.
Decluttering the home also means decluttering the mind. Physical 'stuff' can really block our path to the life we want. Exploring the reasons around where the clutter comes from can free us physical but more importantly mentally , understanding that the spaces we create can be a large link to how our mindsets are functioning. Working on this connection can make the final results more long lasting and manageable.
Hello, I am Kate, founder of House of Calm.
I get great pleasure and satisfaction in making a space work effectively and look pretty, its my happy place. I work with clients to restore balance and calm in their lives through decluttering, organising and bespoke tidying methods. An organised space makes a clearer mind, enabling us to make better choices and be more productive, focused and in control. This way of living can be a massive support of mental health on its many levels. The process aims to teach new home management routines and methods, which will enable you to continue this way of living long after I leave.
Life can throw us some real curve balls, but our home doesn't need to be one of them. It should be the place we feel the safest, ourselves and the most at peace.
I am here for you, supporting through any transitions you are facing, be that downsizing your property, or growing your family and needing that extra space. I also work with people who are neurodiverse. I suffer from Dyslexia, so appreciate the frustration of processing information and over stimulation of information. I will get stuck in to any space you need. You can feel safe in the knowledge that you are in great hands.
"Whilst working through things in storage Kate is supportive in making and discussion choices being made. She is able to help with ways to organise things being kept and give ideas of how to approach the same situations going forward for example the storing of work.
Kate provides a point of view, an unbiased executive function if you will, which has allowed me to get these jobs done but not feeling overwhelmed by the emotional and physical load that comes with doing these jobs alone."
